4-H Youth Development

WE ARE GRATEFUL that donors have made the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation a success over the past 50 years. But we cannot live in the past, and the future is too important to be left to chance. Young people today need 4-H today as much as they ever have, and that means the Foundation is as important as it has ever been.

IN AUGUST OF 2012, the Oklahoma 4-H Foundation voted to put up funds for five matching programs, where the Foundation will match new contributions dollar for dollar in each of the selected programs. Matching funds will be available up to $25,000 for each program over the next three years. Please fill out this form to let us know how you would like to help.

This permanent endowment will provide travel scholarships for up to four outstanding 4-H members to travel to National 4-H Conference in Washington, D.C. We already have a pledge to fully fund this endowment!

This will be a permanent endowment to provide for green jackets, training conferences, travel and other expenses for this important group. If you have ever been a state 4-H officer or a member of the State 4-H Council, please consider how you can help.

In recent years, Shooting Sports has become one of our largest 4-H projects. Annually we invite outstanding 4-H’ers to represent Oklahoma at the National Invitational 4-H Shooting Sports Event, but they must pay all of their own expenses to attend. Gifts will be used to help pay for this event, and those over $5,000 will be designated to create an endowment for a permanent fund.

This will be a permanent endowment to provide a fund to support travel for the Citizenship Washington Focus trip to Washington, D.C., which has long been one of our most popular programs. On this life-changing 4-H trip, delegates travel to Washington D.C. and stay at the National 4-H Center where they attend workshops and travel to many of the nation’s most historic and inspiring memorials.

This program will provide immediate assistance to county and club 4-H programs that are trying out a new idea or trying to expand on an older, successful program. Annually, 4-H clubs and county Extension programs apply for grants up to $500 to enhance their current 4-H programs. These funds will be used to make enhancement grants available to fund even more innovative programs.
