State Service Projects

This year's State Service Projects are directed by your State 4-H Leadership Council.

During the 2018-2019 4-H year, Oklahoma 4-H Members raised $22,428.50 through the Change for Change project.

Change for Change

Whether you collect loose change at club meetings, work with local schools and businesses to raise money or ask family and friends for donations, every penny helps!

This year, Change for Change will benefit the Children's Hospital Foundation of Oklahoma City.  Children's Hospital Foundation brings researchers and helps to improve the lives of Oklahoma children.

4-H Golden Service

In order to better serve the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the 2019-2020 State 4-H Leadership Council has expanded the previous Pull for Kids project.  We encourage counties to collect pull tabs as in years past, but also collect stuffed animals and non-perishable canned food and deliver them to the Ronald McDonald House of Oklahoma City or Tulsa.

Pull Tabs:

By encouraging your 4-H club and community to collect pull tabs, you are raising funds and generating awareness for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

How do you participate?

  1. Collect pull tabs
  2. Weigh your tabs
  3. Fill out your county collection report form
  4. Drop off your tabs at your nearest Ronald McDonald House

Stuffed Animals:

Give comfort to a child in the hospital or a sibling of a child in the hospital by collecting NEW stuffed animals.

How do you participate?
  1. Collect NEW stuffed animals for families at the Ronald McDonald House
  2. Fill out a county collection report at the end of your stuffed animal drive
  3. Deliver stuffed animals to the Ronald McDonald House

Canned Food:

Many times families do not get to leave the hospital and food can get expensive.  By collecting canned food, families can enjoy a meal or snack at the Ronald McDonald House.

How do you participate?

  1. Collect non-perishable, canned food for families at the Ronald McDonald House
  2. Fill out a county collection report at the end of your food drive
  3. Deliver food to the Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured children who are receiving medical treatment in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. Here are the campaign materials:
