State Service Projects

This year's State Service Projects are directed by your State 4-H Leadership Council.

During the 2016-2017 4-H year, Oklahoma 4-H Members raised $6,526.65 through the Change for Change project.

Members of the 2017-2018 Oklahoma 4-H State Leadership Council are presenting Children's Hospital Foundation with the funds member raised through Change for Change.

Change for Change

Whether you collect loose change at club meetings, work with local schools and businesses to raise money or ask family and friends for donations, every penny helps!

This year, Change for Change will benefit the Children's Hospital Foundation of Oklahoma City and the Cavett Kids Foundation. The Cavett Kids Foundation provides camps, event and programs for children battling life-threatening and chronic illness while promoting character, coping skills and connection.

Here are the materials you will need to get started in this campaign

Pull for Kids

By encouraging your 4-H club and community to collect pull tabs, you are raising funds and generating awareness for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

How do you participate?

  1. Collect pull tabs
  2. Weigh your tabs
  3. Fill out your county collection report form
  4. Drop off your tabs at your nearest Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured children who are receiving medical treatment in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. Here are the campaign materials:

Books for Kids *Bonus for State Spirit Contest*

Research shows reading aloud to young children promotes brain development, strengthens family bonds and helps youth excel in school. Oklahoma 4-H is teaming up with the Children's Hospital Foundation to collect books so every patient staying in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have a book their family can read during their stay and to take home.

Last year Oklahoma 4-H collected 3463 books!
