Natural Resources Contest Roundup 2025

The 2025 4-H Roundup Natural Resource Contest will focus on fish and fishing using the resources indicated below. Contestants will have the opportunity to explore this project area while preparing for the 4-H Natural Resource Contest.

 

Contestants will compete as individuals. Members will answer questions which include a combination of following: Identification, True/False, Matching, Fill in the Blank, and Multiple Choice. Physical examples, pictures, diagrams, or any other material(s) used for this contest may not be those specifically pictured within the contest resources.

Contest Resources

Contest questions will be drawn from the following resources.

• 4-H Sportfishing (Levels 1-3) are available for purchase from shop4-h5.org. All information is potential contest material and should be studied. NOTE: Before purchasing, please check with your county educator as they may already have access to these materials.
• 4-H Wildlife Science: Level 1-3 are available for purchase from shop4-h.org. Only chapters 1 and 4 from Level 1 & 2 manuals need be studied for this contest. NOTE: Before purchasing, please check with your county educator as they may already have access to these materials. 
• Sportfish ID – This website produced by the OK Department of Wildlife Conservation is available using the following link Sportfish ID. Information for each species, accessed by clicking common fish name under the image, is potential contest material.
