Shooting Sports
Human growth and development is the primary goal of the 4-H shooting sports program. Shooting sports are an outstanding way to provide human growth and development opportunities. Introducing safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment opens valuable vocational and life long recreational education. Listed below are resources and program information for 4-H members and coaches to get started in the shooting sports program.
Coach Certification Information
Level 1 Coach Certification Training
Date: December 14-15, 2024
Location: Creek County Fairgrounds, Kellyville, OK
Cost: $80
Registration Due By: December 2nd, 2024
Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Registration must be received by December 2nd, 2024 and will be emailed to ruth.pratt@okstate.edu and mailed to the State 4-H Office at 293 Agricultural Hall Stillwater, OK, 74078.

Location: OKC Gun Club, Arcadia, OK.
Cost: $100

Oklahoma 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Program
Oklahoma 4-H Shooting Sports is founded on Education with components of Recreation and Competition. In order to build on the Foundation of Education, Oklahoma 4-H Shooting Sports is accepting applications for a teen leadership opportunity through the Oklahoma 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Program. This program will be taking applications from now until March 10, 2025 for youth who will be in the 9th - 12th grade for the school year 2025-2025.

Clays for a Cause
Hosted by the Clinton Gun Club Youth Board. Fun trap shoot, every skill level is welcome. 100% of proceeds will purchase Christmas gifts for local children in need.
Date: December 7, 2024.
Time: 10:30am (gates open at 9:30am), Annie Oakley shoot at 1pm.
Location: Clinton Gun Club
Cost: $20 Entry fee for 50 targets, $10 for Annie Oakley shoot.
