4-H Has Talent at State 4-H Roundup

Talent submissions must be appropriate for 4-H youth audiences.
Video entries may consist of an individual or a team. Youth may participate in only one video submission.
Round Up delegates who are Intermediate and Senior aged 4-H members (completed 7th grade) are allowed to participate in this activity.
The selection committee will select five finalists after the video submission deadline. Entries will be judged on talent, creativity, showmanship, costumes, and audience appeal. (see attached score sheet for more information)
The top 5 finalists will be announced in June.
Those five finalists will then have the opportunity to perform at 4-H Roundup in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
After all finalists are finished performing, the audience will have the opportunity to vote via text to select the winner.
Any instruments or equipment will be provided by the performer.

Maximum Length of Video: Three (3) minutes
Accepted File Formats: Windows Media (.WMV) .MOV or .AV

All entries must be received in the State 4-H Office by the Roundup Registration Deadline.
The Information Form must be signed by your County Educator & submitted with entry.

Talent: This is the performer’s ability to do what the activity or skill requires. (Score: 30 points)
Creativity: The ability to produce something new, unique or original. (Score: 25 points)
Showmanship: The ability of the performer(s) to demonstrate poise, confidence, facial expressions, voice projection, stage presence, etc. (Score: 25 points)
Costumes: Appropriate for the type of act. Supports and enhances the performance and does not distract. (Score: 10 points)
Audience Appeal/Material Chosen: Is the material appropriate for youth ages 9-19? Does it appeal to that age group? (Score: 10 points)
