Trip Overview

January 21-25, 2027

Date

The group will depart Shawnee on Thursday, Jan. 21, in the morning. We will make a stop in Sallisaw to pick up participants on the east side of the state. We will return on Monday, Jan. 25, in the afternoon.

Who Can Participate

Delegates for this trip must be 15 by Jan. 1, 2027. Each county can send one delegate and list up to four alternates who can also go on the trip if there’s enough space. Alternates will be notified after the county transmittal form deadline.

Cost

Plans and arrangements are being made for participation in the 2027 trip. The cost and distribution per delegate are listed below.

  • Bus: $300
  • Lodging: 300
  • Conference: $35.00
  • Tickets for sightseeing: $60
  • Meals: $125
  • Insurance: $5
  • Chaperone expenses: $75
  • Total Cost: $900

The expenses in this budget do not cover snacks and four meals. The estimated cost for these items should be $100-$150 per delegate. Delegates may also want to bring extra money for purchasing souvenirs. More information will be provided at the required orientation.

Payment of Fees

The transmittal form is to be completed on ZSuite under Events. This event can only be viewed and completed by 4-H educators. Educators can search for "Oklahoma 4-H Road to Leadership." Once delegates/alternates are submitted, they will receive an email stating they’ve been nominated for the 4-H Road to Leadership trip.

Counties will be invoiced for payment after all delegates and alternates are confirmed. Total payment will be due to the state 4-H office on or before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2026. Checks should be made payable to "4-H Conferences." The name of the delegate must appear on the face of the check. Mail to: Oklahoma 4-H Youth Development, 293 Agriculture Hall, Stillwater, OK 74078.

Refunds/Cancellations: Payment will be expected for all confirmed delegates and alternates once the invoice is sent. No refunds will be made until after all expenses have been paid. Please call (580) 332-4100 to cancel. Emergency cancellations will be considered on a per-situation basis.
